Cracker @ The Independent Last night I  caught up with a friend I hadn’t seen for a while to see Cracker at The Independent. It’s hard to assign Cracker to a niche: sorta alt-country, sorta ironic/jokey, totally able to rock out with 70’s style dueling guitars. Definitely fun. This was the second-tallest audience I’ve seen at any show. Pretty much everyone there was 6 feet and up. (The audience for Chavez, several years ago at Slims, was even taller. I have no theory for this, but it demands an explanation!)
